Now the nights are starting to draw in and the weather is turning colder – what would happen if you reached for the heating controls, only to find that your boiler unexpectedly fails to fire up?

It’s at this time of year when most people discover a problem with their boiler and need to call out an engineer – plumbers’ busiest season! With increased demand, there can be a delay in getting someone out to you to get your heating and hot water up and running again. To avoid this, it is worth considering purchasing an annual boiler cover plan. In the event of an unexpected breakdown you would have priority access to an engineer.

A central heating and boiler service plan provides cover for your whole heating system and includes labour, breakdown, repairs and the option of an annual service. In event of a breakdown or fault there is no call out charge and our Gas Safe Registered engineers will carry out the repair works to your heating system. We are available for call outs 365 days a year. You can also spread the cost of these plans if you choose to pay monthly by Direct Debit.

Check what your plan covers

If you do decide to go ahead with an annual boiler cover plan, whether it’s from us or anywhere else, do check what the plan covers. As standard you should have 24-hour, 365-day cover for boiler failure. Some plans limit the number of call-outs or cap the amount you can claim. If you have a brand-new boiler also check how long the warranty lasts. Many boiler warranties are only valid if you have the boiler serviced annually, so don’t miss the annual servicing deadline!
