Gas Installation Engineer

Salary: Negotiable

Location: Sutton, Surrey

Carshalton Boilers pride themselves on providing domestic and commercial gas heating installation, service and maintenance services to Domestic and Social Housing.

Job Description
The installation engineer will install gas central heating systems including Gas Boilers, Cylinders, Gas Runs, Radiators, Towel Rails, Pipework and System alterations and Powerflushing . Spending the entirety of the day out on the field, the engineer will be entitled to and responsible for a company van. Working in domestic property’s you will also be required to work in a timely manner with good people skills and leaving the property in a clean state.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

– To carry out gas related activities in tenanted / privately owned properties.
– Working at heights.
– Manual Handling.
– Asbestos Awareness.
– Working in confined spaces.
– The role requires regular driving to various locations throughout the week.

Key Skills Essential

– Excellent customer service skills
– Prioritisation skills
– Willing to learn
– Have a positive attitude to Health & Safety and its importance in the workplace
– Maintain a well presented appearance and have a high level of responsibility for resources in your care i.e. vehicle, test equipment etc.

Experience

– Be competent to carry out gas related activities.
– Ability to show initiative dealing with situations and completing tasks
– Ability to explain the operation of gas installations / appliances and systems
– Able to support apprentices or other personnel as required
– Show commitment and respect to all customers and staff, internal and external.

Essential Qualifications And Skills
– Current gas qualifications (through an Accredited Certification Scheme), CCN1, CEN1, WAT1 and CPA1
– Unvented Hot Water, Commission and Install
– A minimum NVQ Level 2/C&G or equivalent in a plumbing and/or heating related discipline
– Additional appropriate electrical qualifications would be a distinct advantage
– Full driving license (maximum six penalty points)
– General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which may include the use of I-Pad
– Ability to act independently, prioritise work and make intelligent but pragmatic decisions
– Excellent customer service

Service Breakdown Engineer

Salary: Negotiable

Location: Sutton, Surrey

The service engineer will diagnose, repair and service gas central heating systems. Issuing CP12. Spending the entirety of the day out on the field, the engineer will be entitled to and responsible for a company van. Working in domestic property’s you will also be required to work in a timely manner with good people skills and leaving the property in a clean state.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
– To carry out gas related activities in tenanted / privately owned properties.
– Fault finding on a range of Boiler and central heating systems
– Working at heights.
– Manual Handling.
– Asbestos Awareness.
– Working in confined spaces.
– The role requires regular driving to various locations throughout the day.

– Willing to learn
